Clavet’s history

Collection

Clavet began in 1908 as the Village of French, set out on part of Sections 15 and 16. J.T. Dawson served as overseer, and Alfred Rogers and C.H. Goodrich were elected councillors in February 1909, with Carl H. Phillips as secretary-treasurer. On March 9, 1909, the name was changed to Clavet.
